I live in central Austin, which is (IIRC) the 7th most expensive city in the US. $320 a week would support one person in a mid-grade apartment. But supporting two people in a house, even one like ours in a sketchy neighborhood... it doesn't even come close to covering the mortgage, let alone bills and food.
