Do
you accept commissions?
Yes.
Please read my commission information.
Can
I link to your site? Do you do link exchanges?
Go right ahead. BBT is link free, which means
you can link without even
asking. However, I ask that you link to the main page rather than
any subpages, and that if you use a link banner, that you upload
the banner to your own webspace rather than using mine.
As for the second, I'm afraid I am no longer doing link exchanges.
I've received too many link requests to be able to honor them
fairly. My apologies.
Can
I use your art for (insert use here)? Can I put your art on my website?
Please ask me first. Some of the art on big-big-truck.com was created for private clients, and I cannot license them out for use by third parties.
If you want to use my pre-existing art for profit, the answer is
no. This includes selling printed items on eBay and other online auction services.
If you want to display one or two pictures on a personal website, then in all likelihood that is OK. Please credit the artwork and provide a link back to big-big-truck.com.
Do not post my artwork to newsgroups, alter my artwork without permission, or attempt to claim it as yours.
I
tried to post one of your pictures somewhere and it won't show up!
What gives?
I have blocked remote linking of nearly all my image files. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but the truth is, it is rude to use someone's bandwidth without permission. Bandwidth costs money, so using up someone's bandwidth by remote-linking their files is a bit like making unauthorized charges on their credit card.
In 2002 and early 2005, big-big-truck.com got hammered by a number of unauthorized remote links, and the result was a surge in bandwidth use and several hundred dollars in overage charges from my webhost.
Fair warning: if you try to steal bandwidth by leeching one of my larger files, it's likely that you'll end up posting seizure-inducing, obscene material instead. ;-)
Why
"Big Big Truck"?
The
name "Big Big Truck" was part of a long-running joke among some
regulars on a message board about 5 years ago. I liked the sound
of it - chunky and fun. It's also a good handle name if you don't
want to indicate gender.
I've been running this site under the name "Big Big Truck Productions"
since Spring of 1998, and have been using the domain name big-big-truck.com
since June 1999.
